I’ve posted about Jeff Kollman before. I discovered him in the 1990’s and I was amazed. He blended between hard jazz, and shred metal, layin’ down those thangs that tickled my pleasure centers.

From back when I still harbored dreams of being a rockstar guitar player, I went on a soul search to find people who I admired and could be inspired by. I had all the big names. Van Halen, Gary Moore, Vinnie Moore, Randy Rhoads, and many many more. I also latched on to some more grounded players, and even some hard jazz.

I’ve written about him recently, and he has an album that will be out next month, that I will definitely buy, preferably on vinyl.
Today, I stumbled on this short-ish vid where he works out a lick.
Well, he calls it a lick, I call it magic. a bit under 4 minutes, and damn it is just amazing.
