Forza - Online

I acquitted myself rather well for a total rookie.

Forza - Online

About 3 this afternoon, I felt that I was “done” for the week. I swiveled my chair and fired up Forza. After a race of the MX-5 challenge, I figured what the heck, let’s try online multiplayer.

You have to navigate the “Qualifier” challenge, a way to ease into it. You get ~ 10 minutes to practice, and to “qualify” then there is a race.

I did 2 races, one on the short loop at Laguna Seca (darn that corkscrew!) and one at Grand Oak.

Some thoughts:

  • Some fucking idiot had a cellphone call on the audio channel, so the entire race there was him talking to his girlfriend(?) in Spanish. Seriously, what the actual fuck.
  • If I thought the AI drivers were erratic, I was wrong. Bigly wrong. Lots of herky-jerky activities on the track, and people just fucking mashing the brakes in front of you. Bloody hell, I am trying to drive clean dammit.
  • It is funny to see people who just forget to brake, or who turn left when the track turns right … right until I did it. D’oh.

Here it is, in all it’s glory
