Lazy today: Kashmir - Zepparella

I had my scheduled colonoscopy yesterday and I needed this outstanding rendition

Yesterday sucked. I will not go into details, but 44 hours of no solid foods, and a mid-afternoon endoscopy of the most sensitive of areas left me pretty knackered as my British and Aussie mates say.

In the morning, I had started monitoring the continued slide of the DJT stock1, but then had to get to batch two of the “prep2” and I tailed off.

The procedure wasn’t bad, but as it was my third hit at the bong so to speak, I figured I would bounce right out of the sedation and be ready for a greasy Five Guys burger and chocolate shake.

That was not to be. Not even close. I was just trash.

This morning, I finished that post:

More on the Trump Dump
Last Friday I woke up extra early to pen this analysis and my thoughts on what ws going to happen when the Stock Market opened up at 6:30:

Whilst I was finishing this, I stumbled upon today’s music. I will admit that I was never a fan of the original Kashmir. I know a lot of Zep-heads will tut-tut me on that, but it just never caught my fancy, and it has never found its way into my playlists.

But, this rendition is by a favorite cover band, the all-women tribute Zepparella, and it actually made me smile.

I recommend giving it a listen, the axe slinger, Gretchen Menn is just perfection on this, and as always, the tightness of the band makes the mighty Led Zep feel sloppy3.

If you are savvy, you will note that the color of Ms. Menn’s guitar switches. This is pieced together from two back-to-back shows, and the fact that you can’t hear the cutover is testament to their prowess.

  1. It is going about as well as Trump’s 2024 campaign right now

  2. If you know, you know

  3. One day, I will write my thoughts on the sloppiness of Page, mostly due to the pharmaceuticals he imbibed. Still a great, but not technically a master
