Music: Deborah Coleman
It really sucks to discover an amazing talent to learn that they have already left us. Deborah Coleman had the blues running through her veins, and she was outstanding.
Often, in the mornings with my first cuppa, I just grab what Youtube video of music that catches my eye. Alas, lately there has been a flood of Christmas-y music, and to be honest, I have listened to a few (including an enhanced version of Greg Lake singing "Father Christmas").
But then I saw the video below, and on a lark, I clicked.
Wow. You know the blues? The blues where you can feel the musician's situation? That their dog died, their wife ran off with their best friend, that their plumbing is backed up?
Blues that you don't listen to, but feel?
This is Deborah Coleman, recorded a long time ago. She left us in 2018, but her music is just so souldful that it will melt your heart.
