Music: Diablo Swing Orchestra
AI has me gun shy. When I discover something new that I like, it seems that too often it is AI generated music from Suno or similar. This time, I am happy to report that I was able to verify that the Diablo Swing Orchestra is not AI.
The AI in music situation is bad. It has me questioning every new "discovery".
For example, Apple music will autoplay similar tracks when a playlist's track list is complete.
Yesterday, the third one they tossed in was a song by a quixotic band named "Diablo Swing Orchestra". The track is titled "A Tap Dancer's Dilemma", and it was ripping. But without a live video, I started to get sus that it was one of those AI generated things.
I fired up the album it is the lead off track to, called "Sing Along Songs for the Damned & Delirious", and it is good. I mean, I really like it.
Then I look them up, and alas, the band formed in Sweden in 2003, and this album was released in 2009, so that is definitely not AI slop.
Phew. Because I have trust issues...
