Music: Sungha Jung returns

The beauty of his rendition of this complex set of melodies is just perfection

Long time readers have seen a couple posts I’ve made about this phenomenal Korean guitar player. My last post was his outstanding rendition of the song that shall not be named:

Music: Sungha Jung plays that which shall never be played
Not much to say, but that we have heard from this phenomenal artist in the past. Almost a year ago, I wrote this:

His technique, style and creative interpretation all woven together to deliver a superlative listening experience.

He is back with a twofer this Saturday. A new vid dropped, a cover from a band that quite frankly I hadn’t ever heard of. Neon Genesis Evangelion, a tune called “A Cruel Angel’s Thesis”.

As is the custom, Sungha combines the melodies, wrapping them together in a cohesive platform, making his guitar seem larger than life, yet he is 100% in control.

The skill, talent and touch that this takes is impressive.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

Next up, hot on the heels of Sungha’s work, we will get some Kent Nishimura.

Don’t touch that dial! You do not want to miss the next post.
