Music: The Surfrajettes
Surf music, played by an all women group? And they slay? SIGN me up!

I am wondering how I had to click on a video from a fan in the audience at a show to discover this killer band.
I love me some surf music, having several Dick Dale and Ventures albums in my collection. The "surf" rock phenomenon, born in the 1960's, with the vibrato effects, the twangy guitars, the upbeat tempos, and just fun.
Hell, The Beach Boys rode this wave and defined a generation of (mostly white) youths flocking to the sand, partying on the beach, dancing with their "girls".
Catchy riffs that you can snap your fingers to, lots of major scales, simple lead breaks, no guitar solos (or any solos really) but a solid groove laid down by the bass and drums.
The Surfrajettes are an all women spin on the genre. Based in Toronto, Canada, they look the part, they play all the music, and they are fabulous.
Tell me that didn't get your toes tapping...
Now, off to Bandcamp to buy some of their albums!
