The Times cracks the door open to the degradation of Trump

But their comments have become littered with insanity

The Times cracks the door open to the degradation of Trump
Donald Trump making a word salad

This morning (Sunday, October 6, 2024) the NY Times published an extensive article that chronicles the obvious decline in Trump’s mental prowess over the past 8 years. I do recommend you read the article, it is available here as a gifted link.

Peter Baker primarily lays out the case, and backs it up with evidence.

But then I delved into the comments.

Hoo-boy, the fuckery there is off the mutha eff-ing charts. Clearly, there are MAGA folks who subscribe to the Times (and presumably the WaPo) to piss in the comments to ensure that their “religion” is well represented.

First up is Emma from Nevada:

First, I believe that Nevada is leaning towards Harris/Walz. But for Ms. Emma, it is clear that she is beyond redemption.

Next up is JoeD from Austin, Texas:

Uh, I *think* he’s implying that Harris devolves into word salad, and that Trump is masterful in his ability to stump for hours. Really scratching my head here. The drugs they feed these MAGA-stans must be pretty powerful.

Then still in Texas, is Brandon:

I have to wonder if he consulted ChatGPT to compose this hallucinatory pile of gibberish. “… but it feels more like a day of conversations with a family tucked inside on a cold Thanksgiving afternoon." What the actual fuck?

Yes, I am certain that most families have a drunk MAGA uncle that they roll their eyes whenever they arrive, but for fuck’s sake, this isn’t a pleasant experience for anyone who isn’t fully immersed in the MAGAsphere.

Name redacted, but again Nevada (must be something in the water there):

Uh, sure my dude, he told us how fucked up America would become under him, and how fucked we all would be. But I am guessing you are upper middle class and white, so you naturally think that is A-OK for you and yours.

Just like libertarians, they are usually wealthy people that have the attitude “I got mine, so fuck you”. Sounds about right.

RGB from somewhere in Oregon:

Wow, so you’re gonna pull the lever for Trump because you hate the Cheney’s so damn much you would be willing to burn it all to the ground.

Me thinks that Mr. RBG is a far lefty progressive who is probably voted for Stein in 2016 because he hated Hillary so damn much.

Well, now I need to take another shower, but I would be remiss if I didn’t do a pull quote of Trump Spokestroll Steven Cheung:

Steven Cheung, the campaign communications director, called Mr. Trump “the strongest and most capable candidate” and dismissed suggestions that he has diminished with age. “President Trump has more energy and more stamina than anyone in politics, and is the smartest leader this country has ever seen,” he said in a statement.

That is some powerful delusion right there.

Peace out!
